Engineering as a craft, not a checklist.

For the last eight years I've been shipping production software across fintech, healthcare, climate-tech and creative tooling. I work in small teams where every line counts, every interaction is intentional, and every release is something I'd put my name on.

My work sits at the intersection of rigorous engineering and quiet, deliberate design. I write less code that does more, prefer boring technology that scales, and obsess over the milliseconds most people never notice.

I've worked with teams of 2 to 200 engineers. I prefer small teams with big responsibilities. I don't work with people who want blind execution — I work with people who want a technical partner who thinks with them.

Outside work, I write about engineering and craft, and spend time with my family in Sana'a.
